Dog Date Afternoon ("we," "us," or "our") is a curated playdate app for dogs and their humans in New York City. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you create a profile, we collect:

Your dog's name, breed, birthday, gender, weight, and play style
Your name and email address
Your neighborhood
Photos you choose to upload of your dog and yourself

When you use the app, we also collect:

Messages you send to other users
Playdate proposals and responses
Push notification tokens (to deliver notifications to your device)

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information solely to operate Dog Date Afternoon:

To create and display your profile to other members
To facilitate messaging and playdate coordination between users
To send push notifications about messages and playdates
To review applications and manage membership
To respond to reports of inappropriate behavior

We do not sell your data. We do not use your information for advertising.

PHOTOS

Photos you upload are stored securely and displayed to other members of the app. We access your photo library only when you choose to upload a photo. We do not access your camera or photos without your permission.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

Your profile information (dog name, breed, neighborhood, photos, and play style) is visible to other approved members of Dog Date Afternoon. Your email address is never displayed to other users.

We use Supabase to store your data securely. We do not share your personal information with any third parties for marketing or other purposes.

DATA RETENTION & DELETION

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at hello@dogdateafternoon.app. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Dog Date Afternoon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

We use push notifications to let you know when you receive a message or a playdate proposal. You can disable notifications at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes here and update the date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
